Moira Creedon is a consultant and lecturer in Financial Management working with managers and entrepreneurs worldwide to help build and implement robust sustainable strategies for their businesses and create value by making the right decisions.
She works extensively with high growth SMEs, coaching CEOs / founders and raising funding in multiple technology-based companies including Artificial Intelligence, Internet Of Things, Nanotechnology and blockchain based companies. The core focus is to ensure that the growth path is viable, adequately resourced and delivers on the agreed targets while protecting the interests of the founders.
Moira was previously a Programme Director managing countrywide Private Sector Development projects for the World Bank and other donors in emerging markets in Africa, Latin America, South East Asia and Eastern Europe. These projects included creating nationwide frameworks for funding, mentoring and support structures for local entrepreneurs to help gain the appropriate skills funding and resources to create and grow sustainable businesses and long-term jobs.
Previously Moira managed an International Mergers and Acquisitions team for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in London. She also worked in export marketing for Irish companies seeking to enter new European markets.
Moira holds an MBA from IESE Barcelona, after an undergraduate honours degree in Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in finance and valuation. She directed the IMI Postgraduate Diploma in Business Finance for many years.
Moira is a senior member of the finance faculty of many business schools and universities including the Irish Management Institute, INSEAD, University of Warwick Business School, CEDEP, Social Enterprise Ireland Academy, Management Centre Europe, Brussels. She lectures and teaches in Spanish, French and German as well as English.
